Jaydelle Posted May 10, 2014 Share Posted May 10, 2014 Hello everyone! I downloaded this game last night and installed it just fine, but when I went to play it it just disappeared after the launch. A friend hit me up for a game of LoL, so I stopped trying and didn't think anything of it. I've been trying again all morning, trying various solutions to no avail. Here is a list of everything important: 1: I'm running Windows 7 64bit 2: I'm running Avast Internet Security 3: I set the launcher to always run as Administrator 4: When that failed, I added exclusions to the entire Luna folder to my Firewall, Sandbox, and included network instructions within the firewall. 5: When that did nothing, I disabled all of my shields. 6: When that also did nothing, I scanned the folder, which came up as perfectly clean. 7: When that failed, I uninstalled the program, disabled the firewalls, reinstalled and repeated all above steps. I can't add exclusions to a specific file name, only a file path. The client isn't registering as a Trojan as many have reported it to. My security is very sensitive and thinks it is fine, so it is therefore not running it in the Sandbox or terminating any files. It would tell me. I cannot completely shut off my antivirus, so disabling the firewalls are the only solution. On the other hand, this program isn't being blocked by it or my program would tell me immediately with horribly loud pings and a "Threat Has Been Detected" voice. And so you are aware of what is happening, I launch the program, the patch begins and completes successfully and the Start Game button appears. I click that, the patcher goes away like all MMO's, and then nothing appears again. No loading screen, no login, nothing. The game does not start after I click "Start Game" on the patcher: A. Add LUNAClient.exe to your antivirus' exception list (if you don't know how google it, it's different for each antivirus) B. Still not seeing the game start: your antivirus has already put LUNAClient.exe in its quarantine, you will have to retrieve it or reinstall and add the exception again. (if you don't know how google it, it's different for each antivirus) like the topic says, you should go see if LUNAClient.exe is even in your game folder as many antiviruses delete/move it to their quarantine and players don't notice it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I did read that, and multiple other posts, guides, and support things throughout the web for two hours. That was the first thing I checked. Every file is exactly where it is supposed to be and as I said, my antivirus couldn't have moved it (and didn't, since I just checked again) without notifying me first. My antivirus has absolutely no issues with this program or its program files, as I ran a direct scan on the program folder. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Administrator Orange Posted May 11, 2014 Administrator Share Posted May 11, 2014 just to be sure, does a window open once you click start on the patcher or not, because if a window appears (with the port background and you select the server) but nothing happens after you select the server the solution is different. the only thing that blocks the client from starting after you press play on the patcher is the antivirus, are you sure you don't have a second antivirus? lol it may sound silly but maybe you do Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I know my computer better than I know the route to work every day; this thing is my baby. The program does not give me a second window after the launcher. Administrator Orange Posted May 12, 2014 Administrator Share Posted May 12, 2014 Try double clicking the client itself, LUNAClient.exe it will say something like "you cannot run this program directly" if that works try right clicking it and setting it to win xp in the compatibility options, maybe it will do the trick otherwise like I said before, the only thing that I know of that does exactly what you are saying is when the antivirus is blocking the file, by either just not letting you run it or by putting it in quarantine Reading around I do see that avast! allows it's users to add exceptions to a single file, it was in the first result of googling "avast add file exception", please have a last look at your antiviruses settings and it's reports of latest threats found Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jaydelle Posted May 14, 2014 Author Share Posted May 14, 2014 I've been through every setting in the settings tab and there is no feature to add exception to individual files anymore.
