Cri.rate more than 100% ??

Recommended Posts

1. Should we add cri.rate more than 100% ??

2. Even I have more than 100% cri rate, sometimes I do not cri. How many % would be enough?

3. I heard "more cri rate = more cri dmg" is this true?

1. I think we can't make crit rate to 100%

2. As I know, there's nobody have 100% crit rate.

3. False. Crit damage depend on your phy attack damage/STR

Critical rate above 100% is possible and for some unknown reason, you may still make normal attacks. Maybe the game doesn't display the correct amount you have, idk. But having it around 110% should be a sufficient amount.

And no, the critical rate doesn't influence your critical damage. Critical damage is just a multiplier that you can increase through buffs.

there is old post discussing about the DEX status also increase Critical Damages
I forgot who post that long time ago, but I remember it's same person who make Posting about Rage Burst only Works for Swords
(well it's thread from around 2011-2012)... xD

but now is 2020... so yes, we need a solid proof about DEX is really increase Critical Damages or not... xD
(someone, please check about this)

I think the default game has that feature included. I don't know if that was changed here.

But you reminded me of this old patch note:
(I'm confused about what happened XD)

Quote

Character:

  • Changed how physical critical damage is calculated.
    • Dexterity no longer gives critical damage.
    • Base critical damage is 150%.
    • Maximum critical damage is 250%.
  • Changed PvP Damage Ratio from 35% to 25% to lower the damage players can do to each other.
  • Changed how much HP is obtained from base vitality from 0.2 per stat to 0.4 per stat.

1. Yes, you should.

2. I maintain mine at least 110%, never miss any crit in NH no matter how many I lure, 100% crit is not the true 100%

3. Nope, dex increases critical damage, the amount per dex however is not clear. I tried my damage with my completely naked rogue character and lvl 80 Zephyr makes the damage difference obvious. Here's my observations:

  • Base damage (non crit) per punch = 164 - 166
  • Without Zephyr damage = 387 - 391
  • With Zephyr damage = 431 436

I'm also curious about Crit Rates, It's weird but I think it works different on each class/job, not sure though. I have 2 Characters, 1 Destroyer and 1 Arch Ranger, my Destroyer only has 102% but always crits, and my AR has 103% but sometimes attacks don't crit.
