Just weighing in, being active on IRC can be a huge plus.
Unless you annoy the hell out of everyone, it gives us a better idea of who you are.

The rules are set up in a fair way, the list of rules ARE your first warning.
Minor infractions are punished with a 5 day ban, just under a week.
Permanent bans are harmful to the server and it's growth, pretty much unforgivable offenses.
The current setup is working fine and while I can understand warnings, they have been tried before and typically don't work.
Suggestion Denied.

Why no love for the 3DS? :(
If I take my nostalgia glasses off for a moment, 3DS is my favourite console at this point in time.
Fire Emblem Awakening is spectacular, it's backwards compatible with the entire DS library, the 3D is really well done, and Pokemon on the way.
Sadly it's one of those consoles you don't appreciate until you play on one.

The GM's are currently locked out of their accounts until the server move.
We have access to the moderator panel so we can ban accounts but we can't run in-game events or anything atm.
I'm sure I've said this before, but we have a few event GM's lined up for when the update is released.
Speaking of the update:
As for GM elections, it's a good idea in theory but it's just not practical.brandon: progress is being made on the update

It would be more like a popularity contest with people voting for their guild/union friends etc and that's not what we want.

Got a 3DS XL today. LEGO Batman came bundled, that's pretty fun I guess.
Now the wait for Pkmn X/Y...
I've ordered an R4i but currently they'll only play DS games, and Pkmn X/Y are 3DS :(get a 3ds with an A4 card...if it's legal in the u.s lol
EDIT: After playing some demos I would recommend anyone considering getting a 3DS (especially the XL) to GET ONE.
While the 3D can be a bit strange to get used to, once you find the sweet spot it's pretty neat. Even if you don't like it you can turn the 3D off and it's still a frickin cool console with a fantastic library of games.
GO GET ONE D:!

Unfortunately we can't help you.
If you'd asked when you got banned the GM could have told you.
We don't unlock old accounts, your account was banned for a reason so it stays banned.

Reid is ignoring you because you've been told why you were banned and it's not getting reversed.

It's a neat idea and positive reinforcement for following the rules is good but it'll be too hard to monitor.
Because there would be an incentive for not reporting players, we'd need GM's to monitor all the channels and shout for 24 hours.
Then there's getting the message out that the event is even happening, only a small percentage of users follow whats happening in the forum. While we could announce that the event is happening every hour, it still wouldn't deter most of the cheaters since monetary gain trumps exp gain.
So unfortunately while it's an interesting concept, my personal opinion is it wouldn't be a practical event.
We'll see what other players think though.
