  1. Yeah, I think lag. Besides, my general purpose question for when I see someone doing something dodgy looking is "Would this hack be worth using/give them a big advantage if it was a hack?". If it looks like mobs are getting sucked in like a vacuum cleaner to some dude and then spontaneously combusting yeah, that could be a hack, I mean to say it'd be worth doing for him. (But this doesn't guarantee it per say, just doesn't rule it out). But a little bit of range beyond the average isn't really worth hacking for, is it? And like these blokes above said, it's a lot more easily explained with a little bit of lag/delay. On his screen the mob's probably up in his face or at least nearer. I don't think I explained my thoughts very well there but it is late, so I only hope I got across what I meant haha.
  2. OK, cheers. I noticed you said 'if created correctly' and knowing me I doubt I'll do it even close to properly haha! Which kind of worries me about going for Sader. And since both RK and Knight have 4 AoEs each it doesn't really make a difference which one I go for it turns out, and even though Rune Knight looks a bit cooler than Knight it'd probably be smarter if I just waited until Magnus and then got the full skillset. Besides, maybe if I mess up or get bored or whatever I can just try a different style on my Magnus. And I guess you're right that if it turns out horrible I can start over though levelling back to 75 and beyond will be a bit of a pain haha! Anyways long story short I'll go for Magnus, thanks for the advice.
  3. Thanks for that info. I guess Swordmaster isn't such a great idea for me going off what you said. Apart from the fact I'm pretty short on dosh I played a full STR Thief previously and I kinda abandoned it at level 63. It got really frustrating having to constantly stab and run, though at least I didn't burn through pots like on my Infantryman. Still, (at least in PvP) the way you describe SM sounds kinda like that and I think I prefer straight-up combat to hit and run. :) But if they're still good for stand up combat in PvE they might be alright. I don't know how much I'll be into PvP later on to be honest. I'm from England so that's going to be hard to deal with latency wise to begin with, right? By the way, I did hear off Troy's really good guide that the Phalanx path might've been a good idea but I figured Phalanx would be a hard 4th job haha. I've already taken Infantryman so there's not much point in going that path now though to be honest I wouldn't be that interested in being a main/pure tank anyways if possible. I had a look at Rurippe's Crusader guide but I understand you not knowing anything haha. I mean, the problem is is looking at the skillbuilds (for all 3 classes) they all seem to use the same skills - Burning Crash + Earthquake for 2h Magnus or Sader, Sword Storm + Bloody Sky + Double Strike for 1h Magnus, Sader and SM, + Rune Impact for the lot of them. I'm still not sure what the difference between them is, especially for Sader. I was just wondering that since Crusaders seem to be uncommon (Well, I've not seen any around), if they have some super-helpful party buff or utility they could be a good path for me to take due to my leet unfunded damage. :D
  4. Hey guys, I know you must get this kinda thing all the time but I've just hit 75 on my Infantryman, Galbatore, and have realised I can't really decide whether to go from here. Problem is, I've done all of the research I can and I haven't really found anything definitive to tell me which class would be the one for me or even what the difference between them is! I know you guys aren't physics or anything so I'll try and give as much information as I can to help you guys help me! My character's path so far was Warrior -> Infantryman, pretty standard. He's got sword mastery (for better or worse) and is full VIT and is an Elf (Well, I am thinking about Magnus after all!). I originally planned to go for Magnus but the closer I got to 75 the more I got tempted by Rune Knight and SM/Crusader afterwards since Knight doesn't sound like a big change from the Infantryman style. However, I must say that I've really enjoyed being able to take a lot of punishment so far, but sometimes I get the feeling that my tankiness doesn't make up for my damage (or lack thereof), especially when I'm being relied on say as main DPS for a healer in a DD :D . I've also felt that Infantryman's been a little repetitive thanks to the standard and super pot burning double-strike - wind slash - blunt shield combo and the pretty poor mobbing. I'm really looking for a class that can mob very well and endure at least some punishment. Hopefully decent enough to solo with even if a little slow and good for party play. Having an interesting/good variety of skills especially AoE skills would be a huge help for me, but to be fair if the class is much more fun to play and has better damage in general I might be able to deal with less survivability. I also just want to say that the 75-105 gameplay for me DOES matter. I think I'll make it to 105 but I know getting there will be no walk in the park. I know that going for Magnus you go through Knight and going for Crusader/SM you take Rune Knight (for an Elf). I would really like to know which class out of the two is tankier and which has better mobbing/damage in general. I don't mind if the 105 job change isn't quite as strong as long as I don't have to endure a horrible 30 levels to be honest! What I know about the classes already (Please correct me if I'm wrong, or add in anything I've missed): Magnus: Most Versatile class of the 3, can use any weapon type. Tankiest class of the 3. Aura skills, good for party play? Most common class of the 3? Don't know about Knight, the prior job advancement, or if its mobbing is any good. It uses Bloody Sky and Rune Impact, right? SM: Uses 2 1 handed weapons. Least tanky of the 3? Best damage, perhaps single target damage? Less party utility. I have no clue what skills it uses for training to be honest :( Crusader: Uses 1h + Shield? Know even less about this than SM. Would use INT but that build is useless here? Least Common. Sorry that was a bit of a wall of text, I just hoped that if I regale you guys with information you might get an idea of what I'm after. Any advice or just explanation of what all of the classes are made for doing would be a big help for me, because those guides, while def. helpful, have just left me more confused than before in some ways! Cheers.
