No, you don't have to complete quests, they are mostly just for exp and gold, and some quests you complete even give you weapons.

There is no penalty if quests aren't completed.

Just a tip:

For magical attack, most prefer the 115 L. Armor and L. Boot, because you can get 30 int in craft stat.

Also, for Cardinal you'll want to use a VIP Hat/Eye patch, because Gemini set will make you very slow, so to counter that use the +119 Movement Speed from the VIP Set.

I'd also recommend crafting purified aquamarines in bulk, because it gets annoying to remake them all the time. I usually make 10 stacks each time.
