That's why theBoxC said Entrapper, they're the 105 version of Treasure Hunter. Cardinals aren't that good for a new person imo, harder to equip them for decent soloing stats. Rogues are probably the best for beginners, they have a lot of evasion passives and buffs, AoEs, and their crits make them do quite a bit of damage, no matter how crappy your items are.
Just concentrate on getting like 5+ evasion philos per equip for now, and you should be able to solo with that. Later on you can try getting better stats, but I did that when I started out, I found it to be easier to level than the other two jobs.-

That's not a bad idea, but it would be really complicated, I think. Orange and Brandon would be the ones to do it, if it was accepted, though, so we'll have to see what either of them think about it.

Look through this topic and see if any of the solutions help. Seems like multiple things could be causing it, lots of players have that issue, and different solutions work for different players.

It's more than likely your laptop then, try to log in again and check your folder to see if LunaClient.exe is there when you open the game. If not, you have an antivirus that is causing the problem. If you have Microsoft Security Essentials, make sure to set it as an exception in that too.

1. It becomes a 1v1 skill instead of an AoE.
2. Yes and yes.
3. I'm not sure about this one, hard to tell on CL since we can't see how often you block something.
4. Yes, it's still random, no matter how high your crit rate is. I don't crit sometimes on my GM character and my critical rate on there is in the 5 figure digits.
5. Not sure about this either, it'd be hard to tell with all of the factors of defense of the target and damage of the lower leveled player.

I'm just going to say, I don't think you guys know how much effort goes into how much they're doing for the server. With having only two people working on it, and both of them having lives aside from CL, they do as much as they can. It goes without saying, though, that they need time to truck through it. CL's going to go through a big change and two people are making that happen all by themselves. Give them some credit, be a little patient, and you'll see just how great they are at what they do in time.

Yeah it's like the 115 weapons. People often use them cause they can get a better philo and crafting bonus, and that in addition to the higher base/ratio patk on the weapon often makes it better than the lower leveled rare weapons. With a few exceptions, such as the dagger. AKs have very good effects on them so the 115 dagger often isn't used.

The 115 sets have higher pdef than the level 105 sets, and can also get a higher philo bonus, which is why some people also use crafted accessories to philo those instead of rare accessories.

Looks to be the case, there's the minimap in the game there next to the patcher. You have to run them both at once, the pop up that asks you for permission to open the game crashes the client. If that's not the problem, then try the game in window mode and/or a different resolution, as stated in Orange's thread:

Staff members don't get involved in what rules players make among themselves in guild wars/PvP unless someone exclusively breaks a server rule.
