  • Try to use the compatibility mode when you run the game..
  • Try to not to install the game on Program Files or Program Files (x86) folder..
  • Try to disable User Account Control..
  • And if it's a brand new rig, try to update your windows 8 and drivers.. Make sure the drivers are correctly installed..
  • Oh, and make sure Luna is running with your main Video Card (Some laptop have 2 video cards) and your laptop isn't running in a battery saving mode (Battery saving mode reduces your processor speed)

That's all I can think..

Hmm.. i have no idea why it lags then, sorry.. Let's wait for the others, probably they will know something about your problem..

This is the system requirements taken from a random place on the internet. Take these as a reference..

Minimum Requirements:

OS: Windows 2000, XP

CPU: Pentium Celeron 1.4 Ghz

RAM: 512 MB

HDD: 2.0 GB

Graphics Card: Geforce 2

Recommended Specifications:

OS: Windows XP, Vista

CPU: Pentium 4 1.8 Ghz or more

RAM: 512 MB or more

HDD: 4.0 GB Free

Graphics Card: Geforce 4 Ti

And this is windows8's

  • Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with support for PAE, NX, and SSE2 (more info)
  • RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
  • Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)

I think that's not the problem..

If you want to play the game without the lags badly, my last suggestion is to install Windows 7 or any version of windows before windows 8 on the other partition of your hard disk.. Maybe a waste of time, but since windows 8 is new and has a significance changes from its predecessors some softwares may need some tweaks to run on windows 8 flawlessly, and to consider that Luna is a reaaaaaaaally old game.. :D
