Magnus have the highest attack speed in game apart from BTs, so many Magnuses like to use swords to capitalize on that. But crits will give you better damage, so it's up to you. If you choose Sword Magnus you better hope your Physical Attack is high enough to dispatch people quickly. Take to long and you will easily die because of your Low P.def. You would have to focus on balancing your Physical Attack and your Defense at the same time, which will mean more costly Equipment. Axe Magnus on the other hand is all about Luck and your Equipment. If your critical rate is to low, 1 Missed Critical could get you killed. Its important to balance your Critical Rate & Damage while also balancing your Physical Defense. You want to make sure you have good Physical Attack / STR Equipment. And good swords to level with. If you can keep your damage high you will be able to level very quickly. PVP wise. Depending on your level & equipment you should do fine. Be aware you are trading Physical Attack for Durability. You might be able to survive longer, but you might not get as many kills as you may need. So in the end you will die more than you kill. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Magnus is hard to make imba because almost all of its stats / skills are pretty mainstream to other classes. Its very well rounded. Because its well rounded, it has no major points.
