Actually if you take a peek at the record books there are players who can get 600+ strike with normal equips, so 450-500 strike/eva and 8k p.a, (8k p.a isn't that high for a dual wielding blade taker/Sword Master, especially one above 130) is very possible. I had one before I started editing my equips, it just takes a little effort and willingness to farm to get high philo'd items.

Dex does effect critical damage, currently it's 10 dex = 1% crit damage. I'm not sure if there are plans to change this in the future though.

Muskets can still be used and always have been available for use, but the Musket Training skill hasn't been fixed yet so you won't be able to receive bonuses for using the musket yet. It's currently bugged and its strongly suggested that you not put anything in it. There are still people with items from 2011 stuck in those storages.

http://forum.celestialuna.com/index.php?/topic/12446-extendedcommon-technical-difficulties/ this might help you, run it in compatibility mode for Windows Service Pack II, I had this problem as well not too long ago. Once you change the compatibility mode, restart your PC and it should work fine.

Magnus is the best overall class. It's balanced and has good stuns. As far as skills, Rune Impact is a must, and any Aura skills, sonic boom, etc. Your stat should be either full vit, or a mix between VIT and STR. Philos should be STR mix vit or vice versa. it gets tiresome seeing people take turns asking "where's update" every 2 days. If anyone knew when or where the update is, it'd be posted by a GM or something. Slow your roll, hold your horses. It's okay mates :')
