Why Do Some Players Wear Level 115 Armor?

A few of my destroyer friends wear metal shoes.. A few of my Cardinal friends wear level 115 leather shoes, and some rogues wear 115 Armor.

 

Why do they do this? Isn't the Gardner Set, Holy Chain, and Faust set better?

The 115 sets have higher pdef than the level 105 sets, and can also get a higher philo bonus, which is why some people also use crafted accessories to philo those instead of rare accessories.

Not only this, but crafted 115 armors can get up to 30 of a single craft stat, which allows for higher physical attack or physical defense in many cases.

Well.. because they are 10-15 levels higher.. Rarity doesn't always mean an item is better, 10 levels is a lot.

In some cases there are items that are good through 50 levels but that is mostly the case for accessories, not armor.

Yeah it's like the 115 weapons. People often use them cause they can get a better philo and crafting bonus, and that in addition to the higher base/ratio patk on the weapon often makes it better than the lower leveled rare weapons. With a few exceptions, such as the dagger. AKs have very good effects on them so the 115 dagger often isn't used.

Lv 100+ rare set or Lv 115 set can get the same philo stats bcoz they use the same Lv 100 philo stones (Lv 100-124)

Red items gives more bonus when you enchant them

then goes Blue items

down to Green items

and lastly White items

 

Reason they use those 115 armor or boots?

bcoz 115 boots has more stats than boots from Lv 100 sets
bcoz they are invicible baby :) (due to incomplete sprite since 2008)

max enchant holy/faust/gardener armor has the same output with lvl 115 armor
